This isn't okay.

I was okay with a Volt-based coupe that costs $75k.

I was okay with a FWD luxobarge for old people (and Benjamin Rolland)

I was even okay with the badge change.

But god dammit , this is a step too far.

"CT6" it just doesn't roll of the tongue like CTS or ATS. And why lose that recognition CTS and - to a lesser extent - ATS have?

Here I thought Cadillac had a good thing going. Then this guy comes in and decides everything needs to change. Including taking a company that has a name and heritage in Detroit out of it.

There's a sour taste in my mouth from all of this.

An ATS coupe won't even help. Or maybe I should say CT4.

I don't like any of this alphaneumeric crap. Fine for a video card or a blender, but not for the much-heralded american return to long wheelbase RWD Luxury. Goddamnit, the CT6 deserves better than 'CT6'.

Kind of, but they still have the M3 so it's not the same.

BMW went from 535i meaning 3.5l to turbo engine but still kept the same basic naming convention since the 80s.
